Tuesday: The Overnighter

Happy Tuesday, everybody! Hope your Labor Day weekend was awesome. Well, we are just 2 short weeks before this crapfest of a season comes to an end. I, for one, am very much looking forward to getting my life back and not having to worry about these idiots anymore. lol Last week, I said that Vanessa was the only one left playing the game. Well, it seems that we might have a couple new players finally stepping up to the plate!!!...with only 2 weeks ago, it's about time they start playing. Sheesh!

Okay, so it still looks like Liz will be going home this week but Austin is trying to get Liz to stay (naturally), though she thinks Julia staying is a better shot. (Unless Vanessa/Johnny Mac change their mind, it doesn't really matter what Austin/Liz/Julia wants. It's out of their hands.) Anyway, so the Austwins talked about 2 of them (Austin and whichever twin stays) try to make a Final 3 deal with Johnny Mac. Austin mentions that even though it's risky that J-Mac could run and tell Vanessa, it doesn't really matter because their backs are up against a wall regardless.

Liz and Julia talked last night and both said they don't trust Vanessa. (10:14pm BBT)
They're pretty sure that Vanessa has a Final 3 deal with Steve/J-Mac/herself "100%!". Julia pointed out that Vanessa might be playing both sides of the house and pitting them against each other, as she (V) throws comps until she gets to Final 3. Though Julia is definitely onto Vanessa's game, it'll be interesting to see if she does anything about it if she stays this week. Seems like everyone this summer is too scared to pull the trigger with Vanessa. (Kudos to V to making them all scared of her. It's working.)

In other news, Steve is also onto Vanessa. (2:01am BBT)
He started out thinking about if he would be safe on the block next to so-and-so. He thinks he'd be safe against Johnny Mac, but not against Austin. He doesn't know what would happen if he was next to Vanessa on the block. Steve said the next few days, he's gonna feel out Austin and see what he thinks about Vanessa and then try to turn him against Vanessa.

Steve: "I need to drive a wedge between Austin and Vanessa."

He's been saying that Vanessa is acting shady and that something has been going on with her for days now, and so he's been extra observant lately. He thinks (and he's right) that Vanessa is working with Austin on the other side of the house, like Steve is working with Johnny Mac on his side of the house. Steve said that he knows Austin + whichever twin will stay, will still work together, so that means he has to turn Austin against Vanessa. Smart cookie!!

So that's the Overnigher in a nutshell. Not much game talk, but Vanessa's super stealthy game is now in the spotlight. While this *could* be game ending for her as early as next week (especially if she throws this next HOH comp), I'm still not 100% sure that any of them would actually do anything. lol I mean, they should! But I still have no faith that anyone will actually do it. Austin has proven over and over again that as a game player, he's a coward. I think Steve would be terrified to go after Vanessa no matter what and wouldn't get her out, but he can't play for HOH this upcoming week anyway. I do think Julia would put Vanessa up, though. So we'll have to wait and see.

Stay tuned...

Jamie, I agree this season has been just a mess! What I do find very entertaining is how Austin and the twins think that when they get out of the house America will just "love them" because they have really been such angels in the house he is sure that one of them will be American favorite and get 25 grand? I laughed my butt off, the he said I don't like to brag about myself because I consider that to be conceded, but it's ok for the twins because they have been so cute and sweet how could American not just fall in love with them! Omg do they have a major eye opener when they get out and start reading what has been said about them? Granted in five years most will forget but if they though doing big brother was going to lead into a "Jeff and Jordan" deal with CBS they are crazy? Might be a great start for a porn or wrestling career but most of America (I think) would not even hire them as "Nannies" at this point!! I do love that Steve and Jmac have come out but about 80 days to late, Vanessa as much as I could not handle the personality with her she has really been the only one on her own playing the game and really did not matter who was HOH she had her voice in everyone's ear. After my fav's James was gone I to lost interest but at this point I'm keeping a positive attitude that I will enjoy watching them tear each other apart but it really can't hold a candle to other seasons where your on the edge of your seat to find out if your favorite player will win!! Two weeks left I'm hoping for some drama and fun! Keep your spirits up, if Vanessa is on the block productions could give us a Pandora's box with a golden veto! That would ramp things up! Love you and thanks for all you do keeping us informed! Bonus coming your way!!

It makes me CRAZY when Austin tells Liz she is just like Janelle!! No way! And he thinks she is going to get Americas favorite.... What a joke. I'm voting for James all the way!!

OMG - Jamie - you crack me up! Crapfest of a season coming to an end!

Really? These people are delusional - how could they possibly in a million years think that Liz could be America's favorite OR Austin?

Jamie - any idea what the ratings are for BB this year? I hope these morons don't get it cancelled.

Keeping Vanessa to the final 2 would be good for JMac, Steve and Austin because there is a good chance any one of them could beat Vanessa. Vanessa does have "blood on her hands". I can't think of anyone in the jury who hasn't gone out largely because of her. They can all lay blame for their being outed at Vanessa's feet.

So she has a good argument to keep her to the final 2. If I were any one of them, I would take my chances with Vanessa, if only because she could get me to the final 2. It is Vanessa taking any of the other house guests to the final 2 just as she has been instrumental in all of them still being in the house, LOL.

I don't get the hate for Vanessa. She does what needs to be done, strategizing, manipulating, crying, screaming or just a plain old temper tantrum. She hasn't done anything so vile as what James did with Shelli. She is playing all sides and picks the best side for whatever the circumstances require. I don't see all the bullying behavior others see. She is forceful, determined and she holds other accountable. I don't see that as being a bully. That is leadership (even if "from behind" at times)and I say good for her.

Ahhhhh big brother is not what it used to be anymore. Don't know if production changed but they definitely don't know what their audience wants anymore. I mean why do they keep recruiting ppl to play this game it's just a bore. I feel if they keep going at this rate it will be the downfall of big brother because people will loose interest in the show. I subscribed for the seasons pass but this is the first time in all years I never watched it once. Took advantage of other shows of CBS so did not feel bad that I wasted my money. If a CBS production member see this please you guys change your ways it's ridiculous this is not a modeling competition where you recruit clueless ppl off the street and give them the rape to watch. We need original BB lovers who know what the show is all about and not afraid to make big moves and keep me on the edge of my seat to the point where I check online at 2am with one eye closed in hopes my favorite house guest won endurance HOH and then fall back asleep smiling( literally like I know them lol). This year was just HORRIBLE. Bring BB back.

Like I said on the facebook page, I don't care what Steve says when he is by himself to the cameras. The bottom line is he will not do anything that Vanessa has not approved of. He has talked big all season, and all season he has played V's game rather than his own. He, in my opinion, is terrible at this game.
At this point in time, Austin's lack of self-awareness is the most entertaining part of the house.
In response to Vanessa: I don't think she is a bully, but I do think that she is a bit delusional. Her tears and woe-is-me attitude are not gameplay. She appears to really believe that she is incapable of lying, manipulating, etc. Again, I have no problem with those game techniques. In fact I encourage them. But own them. Like Dan Gheesling said, "Be a bada** villain, not a whiny one." As to the idea put forth that James (and others) voting out Shelli rather than Vanessa being some kind of terrible, dbag thing to do, I just find that silly. Shelli and Clay wanted them out, and it doesn't matter what they were telling the goblins, the bottom line is that James is/was/still would be their target. That move was huge, broke up a power couple and then sent a huge threat to be the first jury member. And let's be really honest, Vanessa had zero to do with saving herself that week. That was all James, Meg, and Jackie.
So in sum, Vanessa has played hard, albeit in a manner that is annoying for some to watch. She has done some masterful manipulation with weak minded players (looking at you Steve, Austin, Twins) but is afraid to own it. I think she would beat anyone that is left in final 2 because she has been behind every eviction even with the "no blood on my hands" silliness that she spews. And most years gameplay is valued at the end of the day more than I had a good relationship with everyone. Smart players like Becky have already said that V would get her vote if she makes it to the end.

All in all I agree with you Jamie, I'm ready for 9 months of non-crap-fest and only pray that next year is better. And that someone from Because You're Addicted gets accepted as a game player. Then we could all rally behind them and watch them dominate.

So big brother is on tonight and tomorrow because of the football on Thursday can someone answer me

Definition of bully - someone who uses superior strength or "influence" to "intimidate" someone typically to force the person to do what hey want. I think that pretty much described Van's game earlier on. More recently, she has used a calmer demeanor to sway people so I would no longer call it bullying. I did, and still do, feel that she is very demeaning to people, asking them constantly do you understand? That being said, I do feel that she should win and agree that the jury will vote for who has played, not who they were friends with.

I realize Steve has been afraid to do anything without Van's permission but if Austin had stayed on the block, I think he would have voted him out had Steve been one of the people voting. He has been doing alot of thinking about Van's shady business and if he has the chance and he knows he had the votes, I think he would put her up that or put Austin up again to get him out. I think he's getting more daring.

Omg lol. I wld do the same thing in the past! Chk the feeds after a long endurance comp..get the info I need and fall back asleep happy lol.

It's definitely not what it use to be. And I don't get why they don't change it back?! They must get so many complaints all over the internet. Just doesn't make sense. It's ruining what Big Brother is suppose to be. Right now I call it Big Boner cuz it sucks a boner!!!! Lol
