Veto Ceremony (Spoiler)
At 11:19am BBT, the live feeds switched to Jeff highlights which means its time for the Veto Ceremony! Liz was just practicing her speech on the feeds a few minutes ago and in her speech, she mentions how Becky and John being on the block is "strategic" and how they're both great competitors and will have a chance to come back in the game, etc.
As soon as the feeds come back, I'll post the Veto Ceremony results below!

I wish the remaining houseguests didn't know that a jury member gets to come back in the game. I think it changes the gameplay - and not for the good.
Perfect opportunity lost to send Vanessa to jury. Why wait another week? They may not get another chance! I suppose Becky is a bigger threat competition-wise, but Vanessa is playing head games.
Liz: "Well, I know one of my allies has been lying and manipulating her way through the game, and that sooner than later she's going to turn on me if it benefits her, but nah, someone else will have to do that dirty work. I'd rather get out someone far less threatening."
I can't even look forward to the day when she realizes she wasted her HOH, because she's not smart enough for that.
I agree with Chrissi - If they didn't REALLY know they could only guess from previous seasons that the jury had a chance to come back.
And again - how many weeks have gone by without a BB Takeover? That was supposed to keep the players on their toes! Where's pandora's box? Where's the different golden/silver/diamond veto wins??? ANYTHING! It's SO scripted from the previous season, we don't even need Julie to tell us what's coming up on the next epi - just ask the houseguests! Ugh...
Also, like it's been said, another round of 'have-nots' that means nothing to anything... It's pointless to have that title in the game unless you're going to use it! What if you were a have-not and that prevented you from playing in the veto? Or even worse - no voting! It would be better than just 'oh - guess those folks are have-nots because they're hanging out in the dentist room'.... Ugh..
What I fear is that BB's production folks are bored and are only doing this because either Julie/hubs wants it so it will go until she gets bored, or they're going to just pull the plug... I fully believe that if true fans were in charge of production, and not just some schmo intern getting 'experience', it would be a totally different game...
Where oh where are the BBs of old..? lol

Great point Chrissi……People are scared of Vanessa and the fact is, if you turn on her now and vote her out, she very well may come back into the house. Vanessa is a strong player that has won comps, reads people extremely well and has influenced many people’s decisions in the house. If you gun for her and get her out, you better be sure she can’t get back in.
As for the wasted HOH comment….I don’t think it’s a waist at all. Becky may have started playing the game late but she is pretty damn good. She can win comps and has the guts to go after big targets based on the fact that she targeted Vanessa last week. You call it a waste because you want Vanessa out and she isn’t doing it. But if Liz is sticking to the original alliance, Becky is the one the needs to go.
I also think that all these people that hate Vanessa are missing the point of the game. She is a strong player that is hard to watch due to all her crying and emotional breakdowns. But let’s not forget that she is the leader of the strongest alliance in the house. She has manipulated and convinced people to do what she wants to better her own game. And she has won several comps. If Jason or JMac played the same game, people would LOVE it and overlook the lying, crying etc. because they have likable personalities. Vanessa may have a problem getting people to vote for her in the end if she get’s there but she has played a pretty solid game that no appreciates because they can’t stand her personality.
This is the third time in a row they cld have gotten V out but nope!! No one has any balls but Becky...they shlda gotten V out instead of Shelli. Another wasted HOH.
Watch..V will end up winning the nxt HOH so she can't be taken out and another good guy will go to jury.
And I agree that the show has gotten way boring and predictable. Where's the BB takeover?? They run out of ideas?!? What about Pandora's box or diamond power of veto or ANYTHING cool to change the game up to make Austins Angels (just really) shit their pants. Just stop with all these stupid alliance names it's not cool!
Man, being locked up in that house for so long really makes you stupid cuz there's no other reasons to some of these decisions that are made.
Wish they wld have a season with past winners or the most ballsy players from past seasons, ppl who aren't afraid to make big moves. That wld be amazing to watch!

Man I have been arguing this same point to all my friends and family who follow BB. Definitely in the beginning of BB each season and games and twists were diverse and strived to be different. Now its just new wallpaper on the same old games and twists. I have a saying, "You can repaint a house, but thats not remodeling." I think it fits very well for this. Im so aggravated with how lazy production has gotten
Yeah I agree with you Chrissi and Andy and you other guys who are on the boat as well. Too little too late when V is able to vote her own guys out. If V makes it to the end I may have to give up BB . And I agree about them knowing about the possibility of someone coming back to the house after Jury. Seems it's used as an excuse oh I'm going to vote you out but don't take it personal you 'could' be coming back. Yadda yadda... Oi!
Well there it is! Another stupid move in BB 17. We sure have seen alot of them this year..We should all just expect a Vanessa win, and start rooting for her. Looks like neither sides want her out.. Seems like no one wants to make a big move, just stupid moves..
I'm still not understanding why the Austwins are not just getting Vanessa out...yea she is a vote for one of them if they make it to the end but that is it she is ONE vote and most of the other jury members have already gotten her figured out. She will not be able to manipulate or sway votes in the jury house. If the Austwins were smart they would have back doored her and then they could say they made a big move by getting her out

I agree too that the HG's shouldn't know for certain that someone from the jury is coming back.
I am thinking from live feeds that maybe Austin wants Van out and probably would go for it this week since he feels he has James & Meg, and probably Steve. But, I wonder if he's thinking that he'd like to be the one to do it so if he makes it to the end, he can say he made the boldest move of the season in getting her out. Just a thought.
Also, Meg and James are saying to get Steve out then Julia??? Liz is the common denominator and is the first of the Austwins to get out. Austin and Julia don't really like each other and would both probably try to align with someone else. It won't be long before even their new alliance of Austwins, Meg, and James will have to vote the other side out.
I think next year they should have it to where the person that survived elimination should automatically become one of the HOAs if they still do battle of the block...the. have the remaining house guest fight for the other HOA spot.....

As much as I dislike Vanessa, maybe keeping her until after the jury house has their challenge to come back is best. That way she doesn't have the opportunity to get back in the house. Didn't Julie announcements of the house last week that a jury member would be coming back in?

I actually found myself reading that in liz's nasal voice . It kinda scared me ;)
The way BB Australia does evictions is soooo much better imo. The hg's get 5 points each to divide any way they chose to nominate 2 hg's. Then the ones with the most votes are put up for eviction.....then the public gets to vote out the hg of their choice. So the actual eviction is left completely up to the public! It is so much more fun. I wish we did it that way, I think it would inject a lot of life and fun into our mundane BB. What do you guys think?
