Veto Ceremony (Spoiler)
At 11:58am BBT, the live feeds came back on from the houseguests having their veto ceremony.
Shelli is crying. Both C/S are laying in bed cuddling, enjoying the last of their days together inside the BB17 house.
Shelli: "I feel like such an idiot."

James is talking to Steve in the other bedroom. He said this season has been weird because of blowups during meetings/ceremonies..like the Nomination Ceremony on Friday and then today at the Veto Ceremony. Steve said that last season, Zach did that a lot.

Austin & The Twins are going over their options, who they should evict. Austin said that if Clay stays, his mind wouldn't be right for the HOH comp..not a threat. Julia points out that Shelli would be a threat.

Biggest power move of the game so far, everyone has been running scared of "CVS" this entire game ! Good job James finally (I hope few days left) someone sticks to a plan??
Great game play James...now lets hope everyone sees that Shelli is the bigger threat and votes her out. This is the 1st time this season that I'm eager for Thursday to get here.
As much as I am not a Clay/Shelli fan, the correct power move would have been to boot Vanessa. I love her as a player, but, missing an opportunity now to take her out will come back to bite James. If you agree she is the head of the snake, you remove it now not "in the future." These people are playing with their emotions, not with their heads. I feel like this was a waste of James' HOH and the next few weeks will be spent trying to break up Austin and the twins so Meg, Jackie and Becky will continue to float on by (although at least Jackie has proven to have some balls and be a strategic player). At this point, I'm rooting for JMac to pull out the victory.
Jen, I agree with you. They are playing with their emotions and real game players. Jason going around calling everyone "_itches" and calling Shelli "evil incarnate" or something like that. Jason doesn't realize it but Shelli is the closest to an angel that he will every encounter. Good riddance of Jason. I like Vanessa (and JMac) and hope she/they sends James (the man of little integrity), Megan (big time floater who has not shown herself to be worthy of being a BB player) and Jackie (the behind your back stabber walking in the shoes of Jason). I thought Jackie was cute and had potential but when Jeff left, she went vindictive dark.

As much I would love to see Vanessa get booted, I think James is doing the right thing by breaking up C/S. Getting Vanessa out would be a great move but until C/S are broken up, I'm afraid they would continue to have the power to keep everyone doing what they want them to do, whereas with Shelli gone, people will be more split. Shelli is a great player and has an awesome ability to get everyone to like her in the house so is much more dangerous to the other side. With Shelli still there, V/A and the twins would still be united simply to keep their alliance in place and most likely continue to pull the strings of JMac, Becky, and Steve, hence James, Meg, and Jackie would still be in trouble. Hard to say if Clay is gone how strong their alliance would be.
At least this way, the others have a chance to draw some people to their side.
Putting Vanessa up against either C/S would have probably resulted in Vanessa going home instead and still have Shelli controlling. This was the best game play for James and altho he promised not to put them up, it is BB and that's to be expected and he made a ballsy move, finally.
Someone needs to tell Vanessa to just STOP. She's unable to take a situation that doesn't concern her and just enjoy it. She has to meddle and try to whip up votes when it doesn't matter who is going home numbers wise. Don't stick you nose in wherever it doesn't belong and then complain about getting blood on your hands. Since her nervous breakdown the second day she has been bathing in blood and it is her inability to just let things happen.
While I agree with ur thoughts on Vanessa. Clay and Shellie are a two vote system where Vanessa is just one vote
Jamie, hope you are feeling better and, if not, soon will be. You be sure to cuddle with Miss Bella...hopefully she can make things seem bearable at least.
@rigs What universe did you come from? Nothing you said there made any sense. The doormats are finally fighting fire with fire and sending your angel home, where you are free to look her up.
Vanessa also gave him a pretty sweet deal to save himself and one other player if she wins HOH at some point between now and Final 7. Smart move to keep that option open, I think.
I agree with Chicklet. Vanessa will take herself out somehow, she psycho, so getting Shelli out will be best for James, as Shelli continually says she wants James out more than anything!! She's the biggest threat and this is the perfect opportunity...I just don't know if he has the votes :/
If clay stays he should get a serious flirt on with Becky and Meg, stick with James side for a couple of weeks lay low, unless he won HOH, then should still get his flirt on target Austin 😁

Causally, Vanessa may be just one vote but James could have had 2 more people on his side, working for and with him. So instead of having “just one vote against” him, he would have gained two votes for him. Clay and Shelli are not made of the same stuff that James is. They would not have gone against their word given the same circumstances. Now he will likely have gained nothing but be a bigger target. Even his “teammates” looked disturbed that he “went against his word”. Would any one trust him now, on or off the show?

Shelli could very well pull off staying and that would make for a much more entertaining BB. Watching Jason, Meg, and James spend the past weeks “partying” and then crying about it was not entertaining. I know James and he is just hoping to get into that “smok’n hot Meg”.

You honestly believe that Shelli would allow Clay to go against the Sixth Sense and vote with the people who wanted them out? There's no way! I honestly think Clay would consider it more so than Shelli, but she would get paranoid and break the deal.
And I'm pretty sure you have James and Austin confused. Austin has openly said he came for a showmance. For James that isn't the case. And please don't ever say "get into" a girl. That's just rude.
I was rooting for Austin/Vanessa at the beginning, I thought the way they could manipulate things to end their way was awesome. But all of the lies that have come from the mouths of the Sixth Sense is way too much to handle. Not to mention that the alliance can never make up their minds.
No one is an angel in that house. Everyone has intentions that they don't voice, and almost everyone (excluding those that didn't come for money) would do anything for half of a million dollars.
And if Shelli does pull off staying then yay her. The decision is really up to Austin/Liz/Julia. But even if she does stay it could go one of two ways. She could become very angry and avenge Clay. (That would be fun) Or she could be very depressed and lay around like Audrey. But we can never decide which will pull a better outcome.

Honestly, best move for James would have been to put up Liz. That secures Austin and Julia's vote, probably Vanessa too, since if Liz goes home that's 2 angry people v. 1 if Shelli goes home. With Jackie and Meg as well, that's enough to secure that Shelli goes home. He should know by now that nobody on the other side of the house has ever kept a promise to them, and nothing about that is going to change just because he's HOH. He's literally the weakest player right now since he can't even play for HOH next week. The way things are looking now, Clay's going home. He's a pretty useless player, so I don't see how sending him home will really help unless it manages to take the fight out of Shelli.

Also having both Clay and Shelli in jury would be awful. Shelli does tend to be able to sway people. Plus we know the only reason Vanessa wants to keep Shelli is because she believes Shelli will always be a larger target than herself. Despite all the complaints about Vanessa from viewers, if you can look past her psychobabble and her emotional state at times, she is the most articulated person in the house.

I thought the same thing but started thinking there might be a reason why you didn't do that. Maybe James didn't want to agitate two groups (Austin & twins) and (S & C) at the same time. That could realistically galvanize the remaining players to work together against James, etc. Keeping the nominees the same ensures just Clay and Shelly are super pissed this week. If James didn't think that was a problem then I agree he should have put up Liz. Would have guaranteed Shelley leaving and that was pretty obvious ever since he won the veto.
So affraid Shelli backstabbing Clay is going to keep her!!!! Send her dirty self home...and take that useless Austin with her....this show sucks!!!!

Wow you guys have made such great points. I think James made a great move this week. Went after big players and one of them will be going home on Thursday. This house seems to be filled with the good, the floaters and the dumb dumbs. They are going to keep Shelli the Threat over Doh Clay.
Let's hope Meg and Jackie or J Mac pullout a HoH win. I'm always shocked when people get upset about being told lies and they have turned around a told others lies or have told a lie to somebody they just spoke too. Makes my head hurt. Everybody knows telling lies and backstabbing is a big part of this game.
Lol! You must be a family member or friend of Shelli's. Angel, she is not. Letting Clay give up his game for her easily proves that.
