Anyway, moving on...
The long story short is that Vanessa wants Steve to go, while Austin/twins want Johnny Mac to go. Vanessa seemingly gave up and gave into Austwins late last night during a convo about who should go, but I have a feeling that if Vanessa truly wants Steve out, then Steve will leave. That's just what tends to happen with Vanessa. She gets what she wants in the end.
Austin, at first, wanted to keep J-Mac this week because then they can use him as a pawn (for the millionth time...seriously, pick a new freakin' strategy. There's like 4 weeks of BB left.) but Liz said that if J-Mac stays, he's gunning for them (Austwins), but if they kept Steve, Steve would gun after Vanessa.
Austin suggested that maybe they should tell Steve they'll keep him only if he promises to throw HOH. Meanwhile, Johnny Mac worked hard on Vanessa, saying that he'll do all the "dirty work" for them (him/Vanessa) if he stays. Vanessa said she'd love to work with him and hopefully Shelli if she's the returning player on Thursday.
At around midnight last night, Vanessa did more verbal abuse on Steve for awhile, threatening him that he's going to "go home" if he doesn't "come clean" with info.
Then Vanessa started her victim-card stuff, crying and blaming him for hurting her, etc. She ends up catching him in lies, to which Steve admits to and apologizes. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
**And that's it for the Overnighter. It seems that Johnny Mac will go home at this point, but there's still a couple days left until the live show on Thursday. We shall see!!
Stay tuned...

Jamie, I'm sorry this season has been so boring. I know you look forward to doing the blog so we all have something cool to read about and hook us up with what we don't see. We all really appreciate what you do and we all love your blog. This season has been trying on all BB fans but just hang in there for us Jamie, you are awesome at what you do and I love reading your blog. I check it at least 12 times a day lol. But anyways just wanted to say keep up the hard work dear you are great!!!
Thanks, Dalton!! I'm trying!! lol :)
Jamie, I really appreciate your hard work with the blog and having to watch the feeds with this group of people. I have the feeds but I just can't watch like I use to, which is a shame because the feeds are cheaper than last year. Now I am just ready for this season to be over and wait until next year for a new season. Hang in there maybe someone new with some balls to shake up the house will be the next HOH .
I really hope CBS is seeing the feedback from this season and will take it into account with their casting for next year.
Then again, I had the same hope last year and the year before that.
the need a new casting director. the one they have now clearly isn't doing a good job the past seasons. horrible.
Jamie- I don't blame you at all! At this point everything has become so predictable and disappointing. I usually look forward to every BB episode, but I had no desire to watch on Sunday because I knew it was just going to be the Liztin show-BARF.
Ok yes, this is the nature of the game- it's inevitable that at some point your favorites will get picked off and the 'other side' will rule the house, but Vanessa and Austwins are just becoming(are) intolerable. I love your,'I knowwwww-uahh" LOL! That has to be the most annoying voice ever. All we can hope is that whoever comes back into the house shakes things up!! Love your blog, hang in there :)
lol! Thanks Steph! :)
This season has been so disappointing…. I check your blog probably 20 times a day and get disappointed that we have no new info but then realize there is no new info b/c this year’s cast is just awful!!! You can only blog about what’s going on and that’s a big fat NOTHING! I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your blog and hope that next season gives you more to work with. This is the first season I have had the live feeds and I have stopped watching almost completely b/c I’m bored to tears almost. If this was my first season watching I wouldn’t return but I hold out hope for season 18….
You know what sucks the most?
I've been watching since BB5. When I started dating my current girlfriend, I invited her to watch with me, assuring her that despite the fact that it's "reality TV" it's actually really compelling, full of strategy, comedy, and human drama. She was hesitant but trusted my description.
That was just before BB15, the Aaryn/GinaMarie season. To this day she thinks the show is garbage and that I'm a terrible judge of entertainment, and refuses to watch with me. She hates the vapid, underwear-model houseguests and their witless floundering. I tell her it's just been bad lately and used to have much better strategizing and more interesting, varied casts, but she doesn't believe me. And why should she? I wouldn't believe me, either.
Yup - Agreed - Jamie, you rock and you're doing the best you can under the circumstances!!
And I'd bet the casting would be ok if they had a better production crew. These folks have all the drama potential, BB has just let them down by basically ignoring them after the first couple of weeks. So sad, BB - Where are the good comps? Where are the twists? Ugh..
Glad you're feeling better and haven't left us !! :)
lol @ wash rinse and repeat....we thank you for blogging Jamie hang in there season is almost over...sick of Austin/Liz too gag me
Thanks always Jamie for your blogging, I agree fully with you!! When the twins are on
(Mostly Liz) her nasal voice and drawn out words...Jammmmmes,makes my ears hurt.
Some nights on the feeds are better than some, last night I tuned in to see Meg
holding a ice bag on her face. Apparently they had a chocolate candy fight and
someone belted her good on her temple. It was already getting blue and swelling up.
WhY haven't they given the house playing cards, like the past??
James keeps the house interesting, with all his pranks.
Can't wait for the come back in, hopefully they will take out Austin. They are too
Full of themselves, at least I can stand Julia better than Liz.
A couple things need to happen...
#1. No more superfans. Too many house guests were in it for the "vacation" aspect and not to play the actual game, which harms the competition and makes it boring to watch. Jason, Austin, Jeff, etc.
#2. This follows #1. Quit making the game so predictable from season to season. It's the same comps, the same twists, the same double evictions, etc. They had the twin twist sniffed out in first few weeks and they knew exactly when the double eviction was. Since everyone is a "super fan" they all know what's coming and it's become all too formulaic and that makes it boring to watch.
How about some real twists? What happened to Pandora's box and the special powers? Hell, I'd even go for another All Star season at this point...
Jamie. I stop watching a month ago , you have done a wonderful job so far and I don't blame you for not caring anymore.
Jamie, tough job this season....boooooooring! My friends and I agree..lamest BB ever.
I'm sure it's tough casting for the show, you never know how the house guests are going to interact and what alliances will form. Seems much like my favorite reality show Survivor, the strongest players get eliminated early and the "floaters' team up to make it to the end. Not much the producers can do about it with out interfering with the flow of the show.
Maybe this week will spice things up with someone coming back in the game with a vengeance. No doubt Vanessa probably deserves to win, she has pulled all the strings, but I'm rooting for James!
Appreciate your blog!
Jamie I don't even watch the show. I just check ur blog for updates. Don't beat yourself up because there isn't a stellar cast. We will go thru the process as we do like the show and hope for a better cast next year!! Keep up the great work! We appreciate your efforts.
Sorry to hear you're not enjoying this season, Jamie. I enjoy you're blog and respect the fact that you're so dedicated to relaying the game to those that don't have the feeds. One thing I'd like to know is why you (and everyone else, it seems) hate Vanessa so much. I'll admit that her paranoia and constant emotional outbursts can be annoying, but she's actually on medication for those issues - and she's in the BB house, probably one of the most emotionally heightened and draining places possible. As far as I can tell apart from those two things, she has played an extremely smart and respectable game. She was one of the few people that has been actually playing the game since the beginning (however unlike Audrey, Davonne, etc. she was playing smart). The entire house (including her own alliance) blames her for "manipulating" and "lying" to everyone, however she has been one of the most honest players thus far. She didn't pretend to be "buddy-buddy" and fake with the entire house like Clay and Shelli, which is why they were evicted. And Austin and the twins somehow managed to take zero blame for Da'Vonne, Jason, Jeff and Audrey evictions even though they were completely guilty as well. Vanessa targeted those that she believed were the strongest game players not in her alliance, and to that end she has done beautifully. It may be true that whomever Vanessa wants is evicted, but that's a testament to her ability to persuade with logic and reasoning, because everyone else in the game seems to play with solely on emotion. Derrick pretty much had a hand in EVERY eviction last season, and no one complained that he was "running the house". I understand why people might find her personality abrasive, however I can't understand how you could respect anyone else's game more. James/Meg don't deserve to win at all. They still haven't realized that they are playing a game and need to strategize beyond "you evicted my friend, so I will go after you for a week". Audrey literally told them about Sixth Sense, and they never actually acted on that knowledge, even when it was obvious. Steve and JMac, while I love John, have hardly won anything and have straddled the middle the entire game. Austin/twins have relied on Vanessa's strategizing to carry them this far, although I do have respect for Julia that she was always against the idea of backdooring Vanessa, because that would have been an awful game move. Who do you guys think deserve to win more than Vanessa, and why do you hate her so much?
((HUGS)) I totally agree! I typicallly read your blog and one other, and although, I generally know what will happen, I still want to watch the shows. This season, I've barely watched 1/4 of the shows :( Here's hoping to a major shake up this week!
Ohhh Jamie - ha ha ha - I did laugh when I read your post - I can barely stand to listen to those twins on the show! Most of these people are just beyond lame, lame, lame.
Come on - unless the network gives them some crazy demographics information they have to follow WE could do a much better job casting! I think I could have interviewed most of these people for an hour and said no, no and no! this season doesn't even make sense - in the past I understood the beauty aspects but these people are just duds. The best couple of people got voted out early.
I usually don't like Allstars but at this point - I think they need one! make it a million $$ Allstar challenge!
I'm so over this season too, I even canceled myy feed, it was just to painful to watch.
CBS you better throw some firecrackers in the house or this show is as dead as American Idol!!
Jamie thank you for all of your work...............I also do not like the show this year.
I can't stand all the plotting and would like more personal stuff. I do not mean sex, I like James pranks and think when they good off it is fun. Why not a half hour of plotting and a half hour of pranks or fun............
I am waiting for DWTS and that this BB is over.
You know it's a bad season when you wish you could see Amanda and McCrae. LOL. Watching Vanessa lie about how honest everyone should be is the kicker. Arrrrrr
BB rewind, Coup d'etat, Diamond power of veto, keep everybody sequestered like redemption island (compete to get back in), BB takeovers, Americas Player, 2 double evictions in a 3 week span, etc., etc., etc., None of these twists can help BB17 get some life back. When Becky left, you knew that was the last straw for any real entertainment this season!
I've actually enjoyed this season--most of the guests are likeable or at least interesting. i definitely would like some more twists and stuff thrown in to keep the guests and fans on their toes.
Completely agree...switch it up production! ...survivor is making 'real' changes, BB can do it too.
Wasn't there a Pandora's Box one season that locked the HOH in their room for 24 hrs and other HG's received money raining in backyard??
I don't agree with those that say Vanessa has played the best game and should win. Her decisions are emotional and she comes across as a vindictive bully. Meg was upset after the veto comp, and Vanessa got ticked at her for crying. She then went to the others to complain about Meg.
I like James play much better; he's got guts and a good social game. And a sense of humor!
Just my two cents.
I didn't like last year very well due to it all being one sided, no one was ever smart enough to join up with Donny and challenge Derrick. Didn't care for Derrick at all, yes he was very good, but I hated that he lied to the viewing audience. I think we enjoy it more when they tell us the truth. Vanessa for example, what the heck is her game plan? Surely she is playing everyone, but she spouts the same crap in the DR as she does to the HG.
I can't figure out why anyone as smart as Vanessa 1. thought it was a good idea to have twins in the house 2. was never able to hook up with a true blue alliance and instead wound up with the Austwins even though she knows they will put themselves ahead of her. 3. why she runs and tells the Austwins everything JMac says even though she knows they were all trying to get her out.
This cast is lacking in interesting strategy and is suffering from formulaic casting based on type. The lazy casting director doesn't seem to realize that we are all aware of this overworked strategy and bored with it. Production definitely needs a shakeup, but I don't plan to abandon the show. It beats cable news :)
Everyone keeps asking why people hate Vanessa. I think most fans are mostly annoyed by the fact that nobody's going after her and she's allowed to do what she does unchecked... even though EVERYONE knows how much she has lied/flaked/flip flopped/controlled.
I find this season boring too, but I don't mind the cast. For me, it's that the whole weeks worth of game play is pretty much over by Monday morning. No time to strategize, when decisions need to be made so fast. Also more twists would have been nice. And what ever happened to luxury comps, and have not comps? That would make the shows more entertaining too.
Jaime, I feel so bad for you. I LOVE your blog. My husband use to look forward on Friday and Saturday nights to watch BBAD. He'd open his favorite beer and we'd have our summer weekend ritual. Last weekend, he thought he'd try it at least one time. He took his beer threw it down the drain and went to bed early.
He's the one who got me addicted to BB in season 6. I have no opinion of this season except disappointment. It was a tough year with my sister in chemotherapy for breast cancer. She's finished treatment and is now cancer free. I was looking so forward to a good distraction. I've been watching past seasons to get my BB addiction fed.
You work so hard and your fans are very grateful. This blog is my own consolation to know what's going on with the show.
Great job Jaime.
Argh I'm bored of this season too. Tired of V always crying and playing the victim. Especially tired and grossed out by Liztin. So annoyed with the twins constant whining.
But I truly appreciate your dedication to the blog and to those of us that don't watch the online feeds, we truly love you.
:)
@craig I agree with you about Venessa to a point. I don't like her because she honestly believes she doesn't lie and thinks she is playing an honest game. At least Derek could admit to the viewers about his lies. If she became self aware I think I could respect her more.
Hooray!! Finally, someone else who agrees with me about Vanessa! I personally love her game play AND her personality.
First of all, this is the ONLY blog I ever read and I'm thankful for it, especially this year!!! Jamie you do such a good job and I love how we always feel the same about people ;)
As for this season...you had to know once the house thought it would be a good idea to let twins in...the season was doomed with dummies. Seriously? That's something the house should have agreed on easily, keep them out!!! Now they're a power of THREE!! I don't care what Liz says on tv, she is using that man...for many things *eeeewwwwahhhh* and I'm not so sure that Austin isn't using her as well. Julia might have had promise, but she has revealed she is a mean girl, just like Liz, so no thanks!
I'm not sure how casting thought it was a good idea to put Meg in the house since she can't play endurance comps with her knee surgery/arthritis, guess she's the resident floater....ie: Victoria.
I love Johnny Mac, he's entertaining at least. James grew on me, he has some balls, but I hate that he plays some of the comps with the attitude of just hitting a random buzzer and doesn't really give a shit. That irks me for some reason.
I agree with the person who said they didn't like Derrick last year, nor Vanessa this year. Her playing the victim is overplayed. She attacks people for crying themselves, or not hugging her, or not celebrating with her and her paranoia is just off-putting. She's a hypocrite and I just don't like her personality. As for game play, yes she has a good chance of winning, but IMO it's because the remaining HG's are effing stupid!!!!
Big Brother was my summer pleasure but I don't even care about this season any more. I see myself weening off it and finding something else to obsess about next summer.
