Vanessa, who has been isolating herself all day yesterday, blamed everyone (naturally) for not checking up on her. When Steve/Austin/Julia finally did, Vanessa was sure to make them feel bad for not coming in sooner. Austin told her that he thought she was sleeping. Steve/Julia tell her they thought she wanted to be left alone.
Vanessa went into victim-playing mode (her fav) and said that she doesn't know why she's on the block, doesn't know why Becky would flat-out lie to her face, and highly exaggerated her talk with Becky yesterday (where Becky got up and walked away) into being a full blown one sided fight where Becky yelled at her and "slammed the (patio) door in her face". Vanessa said it's not the game that's making her upset, it's how people have been treating her. (7:58pm BBT)
After Vanessa was done guilt tripping Julia and Steve, and after accusing Steve of knowing she was going on the block (which he did, but denied), she then excused her minions as she was ready to isolate herself again. As soon as they leave, she said that she hated 'all those fake motherf*ckers". That's nice.
By 8:15pm BBT, Austin tells Liz how Vanessa went off on him for not checking on her sooner and compared her to Audrey. Later on, Austin mentions how he's sick of Vanessa thinking all of them owe her something.
There was a moment during the night (9:20pm BBT)...
One person that doesn't feel bad for Vanessa? Johnny Mac. lol He told Steve that she's feeling what many of the houseguests have had to feel by going up on the block. Welcome to Big Brother, V.

**So as we painfully (or joyfully?) watch Vanessa go through the 5 stages of grief this week, we're also gonna watch the Goblins decide what they should do as far which HG to evict this week: Vanessa or Shelli. I'm really confused Vanessa said its not about the money or anything like that, it's about the people in here? Huh? Why do these people go on the show? Lost? Homeless? Your there to play a game and win! (I thought) ? If they vote Shelli out over her ooooh my...... Then they are all losers. What happen to just getting out the threat, move on to the next and so on. I'm starting to wonder who do we really want to win at this point? They are all jacked up, I'm lost
I hate to say it but they may be right. Shelli is really gunning for James and the angels because of Clay. I think the Austwins really want to work with Shelli also making that a strong alliance. Everyone is getting sick of Vanessa and would love to see her go anytime. Get Shelli when you can.
I really Hope its just them throwing around ideas...and they stick with the original. Vanessa is EXTREMELY emotional and I am just tired of her crying ALL the time. Rarely ever does it work out when a target is switched at the last minute...ALWAYS go with the original plan!!!! And dangit somebody break up the Twins/Austin next!

I kinda agree with the Goblins it would be better to get Shelli out now and keep Vanessa. She would have no alliances, everybody now see her game. Especially after this week of blow ups. I knew her paranoia would totally expose her game once see was on the block.

That's so funny as I was just catching up with the overnighter. I thought I heard James want Shelli out and tried and tried to get back to it. It took awhile because every time I put it on 1:37 this am, it showed the three in a room but the sound was always fishies. Grrr!
It's a toss-up which way is best for them. I can see wanting Shelli out, especially for James, but it would be so cool to say bye, bye to Vanessa. Austwins will go whichever of the two is left and they're delusional if they don't think so. The Austwins are not going to go to the Goblins unless they are HOH again.
What they will do is tick Becky off royally as well as make JMac wonder. I can't see Becky being very receptive after all she's done.
Me oh my, what a week. Don't expect Vanessa to be appreciative.
Oh, and I wonder which one of them won't be able to keep it to themselves and has to tell somebody.

When it comes to Vanessa, I'm pretty sure playing this game has nothing to do with the money. You may know that she is a professional poker player but what you may not know is that she is a pretty damn good one. She has won over $3.5 million playing poker. I believe her Net Worth is $4M.....the girl has done well for herself. You also may not know how smart she is is....she graduated from Duke U in 2 1/2 years with a major in economics and a minor in political science, no one in the history of Duke has graduated that quickly. She then went to law school at the U of Miami and was in the top 5% of her class before she left to pursue a poker career.
With all that being said, I am shocked at how emotional she is. As a poker player myself, you cannot let your emotions get the best of you. You lose a big pot and you have to pull yourself together and keep playing. Someone bluffs you out of a hand, and you have to put it behind you and keep playing. I just don't understand how such a successful poker player like V can't keep her emotions in check. As a poker player, I was rooting hard for her to win and thought she was playing the game extremely well. Now all I see is a broken, delusional player that cries every time she doesn't get her way.......given her career, education and history, I wonder if this is part of her strategy.

That's true Andy, but I think Shelli is more of a danger to the James Gang then Vanessa. Shelli is also more in control of her emotions.
Getting Shelli out is the correct call here. People may hate Vanessa's crying, but she's far less of a threat than Shelli. If I was in the Goblin alliance and Shelli was still in the house for a double eviction, I'd be peeing in my shoes. Plenty of time to get Vanessa out while she's weak.

I also said that the Goblins are in trouble with either V or S so it probably doesn't matter if either of them won HOH, the goblins will most likely be targeted. And either S or V can sway whichever side of the house wins HOH, both are dangerous to their game. While people are on to V, she could still be a vote for whatever team.
I don't understand why people keep thinking Steve and JMac are easy to put up. Earlier on, okay, but now they need to be snagging them up. Why do they think people would put them up first and leave the other two alliances intact?

I don't want Shelli or Van to leave but I feel like Van can bring a lot more drama to the feeds if she stays. I love her manic episodes. The people who aren't afraid of confrontation were taken out early and I really don't want the paranoia and drama to end! This season has been amazing! Let's keep it going all the way until the last week!
GMAGS, at the very beginning, I thought that Vanessa's background gave her a real leg up on winning this game. Now I really wonder if the constant strategizing, bluffing and reading others that she can do for hours at a time in a poker tournament, just doesn't translate into 24/7 for months on end. With no down time to decompress, the game seems to be getting the better of her.
That's what I was thinking it's really not going to matter who goes cause if they play the game right the goblins can get them both out Thursday night!

GMAGS in the beginning I wanted her to win the game, with her background even though I knew she already had money I thought her experience and brains would get her far, if not win it all but seeing her meltdowns I gave up on her, it could all be strategy but it could also be her meds or that she isn't really that good at THIS game. I think she is ranked at number 2 in the world? Of the female poker players?
Probably not a good move, but if I were in the house this season (as a more charming, less awkward Steve), I'd probably vote her out just because of the emotional vampirism she [V] inflicts.
I agree too...V is a mess right now (or is she)...seems Shelli has regrouped from Clay leaving, is laying low, and I think will now be on a mission to win.

Is James trying to make it sound like it's him that is willing to work and not saying anything about Meg and Jackie being in agreement so that they are the first targets after Becky?
The first 90 minutes of BBAD had Becky doing what amounted to a monolog. She talked 90% of the 90 minutes. She should not be so cowardly to not give Vanessa an explanation, even if it is “Vanessa, you are a strong player and I simply don’t want to compete against you”. Becky gets a little bit of power and the real Becky comes out and it is not looking all that good. Becky’s reason that it had to do with Jason is so bogus. Jason was a snake, good riddance.
Lori Bell, I agree with you. It would be best if Vanessa comes back from jury and puts up James and Beck. Jackie would be a good substitute if those two are already gone. I recall Clay saying that Becky can’t be trusted and Jackie was a vindictive #&$#. I agree, Jackie is downright mean, nasty and vindictive.
Told you guys, James can’t be trusted. He is a “retail associate” in real life. If you go to, say Best Buy, and this guy named James promises you the best deal in town, would you buy it, LOL ???? Do you believe that Clay gave James the “hoodie”, LOL. I think not.
GMAGS, if what you say about Vanessa is true, she truly is a “gifted” person. Others here think she is delusional but I see someone who is very good at sorting out the truth and it drives her crazy when things don’t make sense. She knew Steve was lying to her about knowing she was the target. He did finally say that Becky didn’t tell him anything, which is true but someone else confirmed Steve’s suspicion. He should know you can’t lie to Vanessa. So far, Vanessa and Shelli are the best BB players in this game.
BB has been ok this year! But why with all the sunlasses. I like to see their faces and mostly tears when happy or sad LOL And please get rid of V, she's a millionaire already,,, wanting STEVE to win this year, hes quirky and skamper-ish!! Ty
Vanessa's game went badly when she put Jason up. It was an unnecessary move too early in the game, and she really didn't get anything out of it. Austin has shown time and time again that his loyalty is to the twins. V got a ton of blood on her hands for someone who doesn't even have her back. Dumb move.

If Vanessa truly has those personal and educational accomplishments, then her demeanor is feigned and her actions are deliberate. She is a very strategic thinker. Don't be surprised if she is not the one leaving this week. She will find a way to stay. She is a thousand times smarter than the combined intellect of the rest of the players.
All sides are playing the same game...all HG are being truthful to some, lying to many, promise their word is honest (when we see differently)...sometimes I think this blog is no different than the house - we believe our choice is the best and others are not...each HG has done/said/behaved as all others have.
I'm gonna take a stab and say you are either related to or have a huge crush on clay or shelli.
I don’t get or watch the live feeds but I do read this blog and the comments here religiously. With that said, in reading the blog and the comments, it sounds like there is some doubt with sending Vanessa out over Shelli. If that’s the case, I truly believe Vanessa will be saved. All she needs is a small opening and she will exploit it and work it to her advantage. She is the smartest player in the game and can read people really well because of her poker background. Once she realizes that she may still have a shot at staying, she will find a way to convince them to keep her.
Satisfied, I have to agree with you. We do all believe our choice is the best and others are not. As time goes on, we see things in players that we like and respect that we hadn't earlier in the game and our choices change. I find attributes in each of the players that I respect in the game or, on the other hand, in their actual personalities. We're lucky we are able to vent here so don't take it personally.
The best examples are probably Steve and Vanessa. Steve has been laying back and floating so that he can quietly decide what is in his best interests. On the other hand, he can be so funny on the live feeds and genuinely sympathetic to others. He seems like a very nice person.
Vanessa may be a good poker player where she can read people (and she is definitely good at reading people and strategizing) but doesn't know how to take the ball and run with it. That may be good as a poker player but socially, when she is dealing with people, she has no clue how to deal with them. She's much to aggressive, talks way too much about what is best for everyone, and when dealing with people, she simply can't. In poker, she's playing by herself and doesn't have to deal with other people. She's lucky right now that she has Julia in her pocket but then Julia and Liz are just riding along with Vanessa and Austin.
If it weren't for Julia, I think Austin would convince Liz to stick with getting Vanessa out, even after James' talk with Austin last night. Then, his best plan of attack would be to go ahead and tell James that, sure, they'll vote to keep Vanessa and then not do it. They could vote Vanessa out since JMac and Steve are and then the goblins would be the only ones voting to get Shelli out. Vanessa would be gone per Becky's wishes and they would have Shelli, JMac, and Steve on their side. The goblins would be everyone else's target then.
Gamewise, either Shelli or Vanessa will be gone and that's good for the rest of them. It would be nice not to have to see Vanessa's tirades any longer but this week, Shelli is so sure that Vanessa is going that she's been floating around schmoozing with everyone and it would be an experience to see her expression if she were to go. She would be so surprised (assuming that someone didn't get the word out, which would be highly likely).
Rigs, Becky's monologues are getting boring. The same thing over and over.
