1:40pm BBT:
Have Nots Room
Vanessa/Shelli
Vanessa told Shelli that Clay mentioned about staying in he house & that she (V) doesn't have to vote him out, it'd be bad for her game. Shelli is pissed that Clay wants to stay in the game now, when she's helped him so much in the game. Shelli then mentions how Clay asked her (S) to contact his family for him if/when she leaves the house.
3:14pm BBT:
Poolside
Austin/Liz
Liz/Austin talk. They wanna talk to James and try to convince him to keep Shelli instead. Austin mentions
how Clay's been throwing him (Austin) under the bus and not talking to him and that he (Austin) is Clay's target if he were to stay. Austin says even if James doesn't agree with it, it won't matter..he'll be mad (that Shelli didn't go) but nothing he can do about it.
Austin wants Shelli to stay because Shelli/Vanessa together would be targeted before him/the Twins.
3:35pm BBT:
Austin worked on James/Meg a bit, saying that Clay is telling other HG's that he hates him (A) and wants to target him. Meg said Shelli's gotta go because she wins comps.
3:55pm BBT:
Shelli cried, saying she's having "a hard time". Clay comforted her, told her everything is gonna be okay.
**And that's it for the Afternoon Quickie Post! I'll be back in the morning with The Overnighter, so check back for that. As always, you can check in on the houseguests from your computer or cell phone for $5.99/month by getting the live feeds!! By the way, I watched the feeds from bed on my phone for the past few days while I've been sick and I gotta say..they run flawlessly!!
See y'all tomorrow!!
Stay tuned...

I don't know that Austin is stalking Liz. It is obnoxious how he stares at her and is always beside her but have you watched the live feeds and seen how she is always petting him also? If he's stalking her, she is seemingly loving it. I wonder what kind of player she would be without him putting thoughts into her mind. She seems to be a mouse on her own. But, I don't knooooowaaaaah. It really is irritating how the feeds seem to always have two of them focused on those two all the time. I'd prefer to see some of the other players more.
I agree, Jamie, the feeds are running very smoothly this season.
I'm not so sure that JMac is as sharp as one would think. You would think he would be to get thru dental school but this afternoon when Becky was helping to coach him on the happenings in preparation for a competition, he sure doesn't have a good memory for those things. But, someone can be extremely intelligent and not excel in certain things. Time will tell. It was interesting to see the two of them strategize. Their game play is to "lay low" before deciding which way to proceed. That may be a good strategy, who knows?
I don't get how Liz/Austin "wanna talk to James" to try to convince him to keep Shelli. James doesn't have a vote! Don't they know that??
It does sound like JMAC has a bigger target than hr is aware of. I hope it gets back to him so we can see him actually try to play the game.
lol i know you dont like Vanessa but she is doing a really good job nobody wants to target her no one in the house dislikes her if anything they want to protect her shes my favorite "since she got rid of my true favorite jason :( "
Chicklet, I also think Liz actually likes Austin; she doesn't look like she is faking to me. Not going after Liz early on (the leaders of the house were actually enthused about both twins coming into the house) the house now has a 3 person voting block to contend with, really dumb strategy wise.
I give James a lot of kudos for not being afraid to make a bold move, but he does not have the number to get Shelli out and is going to be sorely disappointed. (Of course Steve has Vanessa on his side, but to everyone else in his group he is expendable). Vanessa is the only one who has the minions under control, Shelli is no longer in the catbird seat like she was before the noms. Shelli and Clay acted poorly in the aftermath and lost most of their luster IMHO.
"Awwwwww... an attractive, manipulative lady is sad..."
I agree, V is controlling the house. She is playing the best game and isn't going so bonkers with her enthusiasm like she was in the beginning. If she stays calm, she could very well win this because she has the numbers for sure on one side. Jackie and Becky are wising up to her so the only thing that can save them is if one of their side wins HOH.
After watching more live feeds the last few days, I even see Becky and Steve "thinking". In my mind, the truest floaters are Liz and Julia, who constantly sit back and agree with people. Yeaaaaahaaa, oh riiiiiight, oh Steveaaaaaa. They don't really give any input.
Dianne hit it on the nose when she said there are three votes there. Unfortunately, while V is still able to control, she wants to keep them since they are loyal to her.
I would much rather see Shelli go because she annoys me but Clay's family must be yelling at the tv. You are going to volunteer to leave the game so some chickie you met a month ago can stay? And Shelli is mad because he now wants to stay? good lord - that house seems to make people lose all sense, if they ever had any.
I really don't understand why they would evict him, when she's the one that wins the comps and runs things.
Vanessa and Shelli want to act all big but seriously what is it with all the crying............do they gas the house with harmones or something. Everybody cries. I wish they would stop it just is so ridiculous........... Stop crying and try to act strong. geesh!
The actual house (not people) does seem to emit some supernatural power that interferes with the hard wiring of the brain.
Totally agree with you. Shelli thinks she's a princess and it drives me insane!! She really believes that Clay SHOULD campaign for her to stay and that's bs
Raz, it's like someone said earlier that these HG's are gunning for the easier ones to go and leaving the strong players, thinking that they will be bigger targets than themselves. Hello...if the bigger target is left standing towards the end, they are also the harder to beat in the comps.
I would also rather see Clay stay. Vanessa wants Shelli to stay so their alliance is stronger. I understand that as Clay would probably deflect.
In the wee hours this morning, V/C/twins/M/Jackie/James/Becky were having a pow wow deciding who they ALL should vote for and what might happen during double eviction. V finally told them that each should vote for however it is best for their own game (probably knowing that enough people are already voting for Shelli to stay or she would have continued with her logic).
Since the POV ceremony, S/C have pretty much been off alone cuddling up, most likely because Clay wants Shelli to stay and Shelli is sure that she will so why campaign instead of enjoying the last of their time together for now. Shelli has done a little visiting but Clay has only talked some to JMac & Steve. If he were to stay, I think he would be angry enough with his alliance that he could grab Steve and JMac and go to the other side. That would be entertaining to see the rest of the 6th Sense squirm.
Rigs, it's easy for someone to say they wouldn't stoop that low (as James apparently stooped in some people's minds) but the morning of the POV ceremony, Shelli was up talking to James, Jackie, and Meg. Clay was there also but Shelli did all the talking as usual. Clay doesn't really know how to play and doesn't contribute much. She went thru all the people in her alliance and for each one, she said, "I don't want to throw this person under the bus, BUT...and proceeded to point out confidences to James. I would think that would qualify as not keeping her word and stooping pretty low also. I understand she was trying to save herself and get someone else up on the block but so was James trying to make a bold move to help his game. I don't see James winning and don't see him as a good player but at least he had some balls to play the game.
It is part of the game and that's what we have to realize. We have to look at if they are playing the game well, not what kind of person they are. We all have our likes and dislikes and that's what it takes to make the game fun to watch. It would be boring if we loved each player.
Has anyone ever played Balderdash? You have to have a knack for convincing/deceiving people. It is a game to see how well you can do that.
@Razldazlrr I agree- if I were his blood, I'd be very disappointed in his logic. Sure, it's romantic, but you need heart to actually make decisions, since your head will endlessly debate options, and I suspect Clay is thinking with his loins.
Vanessa has been talking to A/twins since around 1:30 and the three are pretty sure they want to keep Clay instead and V is having a hard time convincing them otherwise. Will she be able to get them turned around to suit her???
Also, just before V came in, it was just the twins and Julia told Liz she couldn't stand seeing him put his hand on her sometimes in certain places and Liz said she basically moves to make it more comfortable. Apparently, she doesn't like it after all but is playing a game and called him her knight in shining armour that is in front of her. Whoa!
I don't care for V but she sure has been the best player so far in mny mind.
I cant even imagine the mind tricks that house plays. You see and talk to the same people everyday. No outside news or media so all you have to think about are the twists and turns of the house.
