Ahh..what a night of flip-flopping from Austin! Liz/Julia toyed with the idea of getting James out (they think he's after the twins), while Austin was going back and forth on whether or not to target Vanessa this week.
In other news, the billionth alliance of the summer has formed...Austin/Liz/Julia/Steve...called "The Authority". This happened at
2:47am BBT this morning.
They will have a Final Five with Johnny Mac and come up with a separate alliance name for the 5 later.

4:18am BBT, Johnny Mac/Steve/Liz/Austin talked in the HOH room about who to put up next to (pawn) Johnny Mac.
Austin mentions either Meg or Vanessa, but doesn't wanna put up Vanessa to have her pissed off being on the block and fighting harder for the veto. He wants to try to backdoor her instead. The problem with putting Meg up, is that Austin already told Meg/James that they're 100% safe this week and they're not going up. So he would have to go back on his word and tell Meg she's just a pawn to get Vanessa out. But if Vanessa were to win veto, either Meg or JM would have to go and that leaves Austin in a bad spot because he promised Meg she was safe and JM is an ally. What a mess! But then JM brought up a good point that even if the veto wasn't used and it left JM vs Meg on the block, JM would still have enough votes to stay no matter what (the twins plus Steve). Austin's biggest concern is that Vanessa could return to the game as the returning juror and then take him out the next week.
Today is the Nomination Ceremony where Austin will have to make his decision of who to put up and who his target is (via front door or backdoor). It sounds like it'll be Johnny Mac vs Meg, with Vanessa as the backdoor target. We'll find out more today after the noms have been made! :D

Just use the front door!! Back dooring is supposed to be a surprise attack that no one knows about except for the person actually doing it, the HOH!! UGH people grow a set!!!
Can't use the front door with Vanessa anyone would know that.. if she feels safe then it is a suprise attack.. besides if you want her out why would you allow her to fight for her life??.. too many make it further then they should that wayy
I agree Dafney77! I wish they'd put up V. The entire house is against her so why is it such a big deal? Wouldn't that make everyone else play harder for the Veto so she goes home and they stay?!?! They all need to get together and be ready for the wrath of Vanessa and just DEAL with it! Let's try to win $500K, right?!?!!!
I understand the impulse to wait on getting out Vanessa until after the jury re-entry. But she is no comp beast, especially in games of skill, which the jury comp is likely to be.
And they're running out of time and chances. The history of Big Brother is littered with the bodies of people who wanted to wait to evict their nemeses "until the time is right".
And these people are obsessed with avoiding "blood on their hands" (so tired of hearing that phrase), but that concern is for the early game. This is the time to make big moves, and if Austin did manage to be the one to get Vanessa out, the only person in the jury who would see it as anything but a strong game move would potentially be Vanessa herself, and she's just one.
Oh and one more thing: Austin is worried that if he evicts Vanessa, she could come back next week and target him. But is that not true of anyone he evicts this week? Sure, Meg is less likely to be successful at it than Vanessa would be, but he has to weigh that risk against the (greater, in my opinion) risk of doing nothing substantial with his HOH and losing potential jury votes.
"Blood on my hands." These people think they're as smart as Derrick the Snake. Now THAT was an exercise in keeping blood off your hands! Sure, last year was also a boring season, but at least we got to see poetry in motion. That was incredible to watch.

Same thought here, @Andy Tatnall- Vanessa only succeeded in a mental HOH comp (I think). She wouldn't pose a single challenge, and my thought is that if she went Beast Mode, it'd only pull her concentration from the task at hand- not to come off as mean, but she doesn't strike me as someone who is good at timed events under duress.

Lori Bell, this is only my second or third-ish season watching, I am not sure what this group is thinking. I enjoyed last year much better.
Andy so true, I do not understand why or what their hold up is...it is just a game, not like V will send out a hitman to whomever, right??
Steve Yeah that whole 'blood on my hands' thing is wearing so thin it's invisible. Yes be friend yes make alliances but what the HECK, if there's a target ie Vanessa!! that they all know about, DO HER IN! for crying out loud. Oi!! the only two in the house who've had the (forgive the term) balls to strike out at V were Jackie & Vanessa. I applaud them and wish those two could make the final two, though I know that's not happening. But they both got my respect.

Ugh, it pains me to say it, but at this point Vanessa deserves to win if they continue to let her slide by. These people need to stop playing the 'what if' game. Big Brother is about taking risks and making big moves. So frustrating...
Agree. So, the only big "game moves" this season are still James and Becky with their big game hunting when they were each solo HOH.
Don't understand why HGs would throw comps this late in the game...there are few choices and chances...each should be fighting to stay in at this point, not trust multiple people to keep them safe.
I would love to see a follow up show after BB ends, maybe a month later, to see reactions of the HGs when they have watched their season...may actually be more fun to watch than current epidodes.
Also: Even if Vanessa does manage to get back in the game after her eviction, so what? Kick her right back out. It's what's happened to most jury members immediately after getting back in. You'll still have the exact same votes to do so unless she wins HOH.
I agree here, Derrick was a rare breed and this season's houseguests are all trying to mimic his game but thats impossible in a house full of everyone trying to do the same thing. This season we will sadly watch everybody be too scared to send Vanessa packing and just hand her the prize. Hope next season is more eventful and mixed up than just expecting the expectedly unexpected. Boring that the production hasnt really twisted anything in the past few years, and that some twists just seem to fade away unannounced.
I am amazed that they all do not want blood on their hands! No balls except Becky who just knew what she was going to do and no one could change her mind. Okay so when it comes to the end of the game and they have to "prove" they are great game players....what are they going to say? I won HOH, veto, BoB? really so many were thrown so what did you really win???? Oh my this is lame lame lame. If JM won, he would have done it. James would have heck even Meg. V is going to come back but you STILL HAVE THE VOTES!!! who cares - oh my no one should win!
Personally I hope Jackie comes back or Becky. I understand at the beginning you kind of hang low so you are not a target but now they have less time to do what they want and will be stuck with V sitting in the victory chair because she has a story to tell about how she got there!!! She was involved in all folks who went home and has blood on her hands no matter how she tries to spin it but really the blood is part of the game and the reason we watch. Any more of these lame seasons - no one will really want to watch. They need to bring in the gamers next - all star season or something...some all stars i do not want to see but really! also why do they all have to tell the person leaving. sorry I like the blind sides. BTW: I love James pranks - best part of the game right now (and I did like chop) but the game is lame :(
These could be the worst players of all time. We should be down to the cream of the crop instead these people just are enjoying more summer camp it seems. Just give the money to Vanessa at this point.
Last year was the worst year ever how can you say it was good 2 years ago when Amanda gina Marie that was the great one this year is fine at least the house is not unanimous until this past week
I think the reason Austin is so hesitant to oust Vanessa has to do with Vanessa saving his behind and putting Jason out instead (what a weasel he was). Austin owes Vanessa big time, not that his pleadings were not lame, they were good and he learned a lot from that experience. It just might be that Austin has some sense of “honor”, unlike James who promised three times on national TV not to put Shelli or Clay up and then turned around and put them up. There is no honor in that. I don’t know if Austin gave his word to Vanessa about keeping her safe to the end of the game but his debt to her is paid.
Austin is a better player than Jason was and as much as I don’t really like Austin (I don’t enjoy watching the big hairy monster molesting a little girl, LOL), he is playing a good game. He is moving from being the puppet master to being a master. I’d like to see Shelli come back into the game and then throw James out on his lying little behind.
Are they considered "big moves" to you only because it got players that you don't like out of the game? Because if those were the only big moves, you are insinuating that all the other moves got out floaters and that the house is now filled with just Rockstar players. I don't feel that is the case at all.
Getting Jason out was a huge move. He was forming a potentially large group but got sent packing just in time to thwart that from happening. Also, getting Jackie out paralyzed the Goblins. When you are banking on Meg to carry half the weight for a team in comps, you are done, period.
I want James to win but I'm not gonna be delusional to the fact that Vanessa and the Austwins are flat out dominating this season and that James also will win the BONEHEAD OF THE YEAR AWARD for changing the houses mind into keeping Vanessa, a fact that everyone seems to act like didn't happen.
You think that Vanessa, the 2nd ranked poker player in the world, isn't someone who is good at events under duress?!?

I agree with you Bill, if they keep leaving Vanessa in the game, she deserves to win. It's like with Rachel, I loved her, but the target changed from her to Jeff, then Jordan, and that was the newbies biggest mistake as Rachel was the competition threat, just like Vanessa. The further she gets in the game, the more she deserves to win.
I am honestly now praying that Shelli gets back in the game, teams up with Vanessa, and takes out the austwins, as I think only Shelli and maybe Becky, realize that having 3 people obviously aligned, moving forward, that they can potentially win the vetos to pull each other off and have the votes to keep each other.
They are the biggest threat in the house not Vanessa
I agree with most of you guys. Why Austin didnt make a big move! I really hope he can realize that she is a big target. There are a lot of good players at HOH in the jury. I dont want to see either meg or jhonny mac going to the jury next week, because i really expect to jackie returning. And I want Vannessa out so bad.
Another thing, i really cant believe that the austwins stay togueter so far, they are a huge target togueter so i expect next week in the HOH either meg, james or jhonny mac can win
Liz should have backdoored Vanessa when she had the chance last week. They appear to be afraid of her. Kudos to James and Becky for getting some of the key players out. Too bad Becky got evicted.
Sucks that Austin put Steve / Jmac up a little bit ago. Now he's even defending Vanessa. They're considering even throwing the veto to V so they won't get more "blood on their hands."
I'm a big fan of both BB and Survivor. Here's an idea I have.....Get previous Survivor winners and get them to play BB next summer. Then have the fall season of Survivor made up of previous BB winners. I say winners in order to keep it fair. If you mix it with winners and non-winners, they would probably target each other. Plus, I think it would be pretty damn cool to be able to say that I played BB and Survivor and I WON BOTH! Any thoughts?
Seriously! Only James (with Clay and Shelli) and Beck (with Vanessa aka Iggy Azalea) have made their nominations without caring about the repercussions. Super disappointed in how predictable this season is.
Are u a Vanessa fan outside BB? She is an emotional basket case. I was wondering how she could succeed in poker...because it doesn't last 90 days & she doesn't talk at tournaments
