Friday: The Overnighter

Good morning & Happy TGI-Friday, y'all! Late last night, the HG's had their 2nd HOH Comp and the winner is...

The HOH is:
LIZ

...which basically means Vanessa, since she controls Liz/Julia/Austin anyway. The noms today will most likely be Johnny Mac and Becky. Well, maybe. Keep reading.

After the HOH Comp, Vanessa told both Johnny Mac and Steve that they were both safe this week. Vanessa wants Becky out, but I'm not sure if that's gonna happen this week.

Becky had a convo with Austin and Twins at around 2:53am BBT in the HOH room...

...where Becky laid out details from the week that Vanessa schemed to backdoor Austin plus a lot more anti-Vanessa info that did not make Austin/twins happy. Becky even used cereal as a visual tool on how things worked out.

This lead Austwins to believe that maybe they should leave Becky in the game to go after Vanessa..since they want V gone, but they don't wanna pull the trigger themselves. This means that Johnny Mac could be this weeks target, by default. Depending on who wins veto and if/how it's used, I suspect Meg or James would be the go-to backups.

Today is the Nomination Ceremony, followed by the Veto Comp tomorrow as usual. Should be an interesting week for sure. It's important to note that following Becky's HOH visit with Austwins, Vanessa went up to see what Becky was talking about and they didn't tell her. So it seems that they're on to her, but not yet ready to get rid of her (at least this week).

In other news, there's a new alliance called "Brass Tacks" that has James/Meg/Austin/Twins.
And "Freaks and Geeks" alliance was renamed to "Scamper Squad".

I'll post the Nominations spoiler as soon as it happens, so check back then!

Stay tuned...

I was thinking last night about Steve's weirdly specific dislike of Becky, and I think it comes down to Becky just not finding his personality at all charming or quirky.

I'm so sick of Vanessa. She thinks she's slick but i don't think she is. I think she's an emotional bully, she uses her emotions to make things happen. Becky is talking about V right now (Thursday at 8:35)

It's too late in the game to be worried about not getting blood on your hands, especially when you're pretty much viewed by everyone as a weak player. Keeping someone to get someone else out at this point is silly I think. Get the big targets out.

Oh boy, these dopes just don't get it. Why is it that the superfans never know how to play this game? I have never liked the all star seasons but please bring it back, like now! !!!!!!

Oh, I HOPE Julia can talk some sense into Liz and Austin into siding with Becky and getting rid of Vanessa - she is just too good of a player and needs to leave soon or else she's going to win. They HAVE to see that!

Disappointing.

It's the smart move so little chance the twins will make it especially since they're the next big target. James would waste HOH win avenging Jackie, but Vanessa is dangerous.

I really hope that Becky has convinced austwins to get keep her in the game to go after Vanessa. This week should be plain and simple get Steve out!
The way things are going I can easily see one of the twins in the final 2, most likely Julia.

Why was Steve acting so discouraged last night? He was HOH but apologized after the eviction to James Meg and Becky.
Weird.
I agree that V is a bully; its emotional abuse.

Yesterday could not have gone any worse. Suddenly disinterested :(

What's with the "no blood on the hands" this year. When it gets down to final two they'll all be wondering what everyone did and won't be able to pinpoint any good moves because no one is willing to make any. It's a game. Get your hands dirty!

KK: Absolutely agree. This point in the game, with the number of people left, is the time for a shift in tactics. It's no longer about avoiding blame or the proverbial "blood on the hands", and even backdooring is a less solid tactic now, because the votes aren't hinging on that many people. But the HGs don't seem to have clued in to this.

Why Johnny Mac?? Whhhhy??
I loved his responses to Julie during last night eviction vote!! Haha

"Bully" is a term that people love to throw around these days. Vanessa is not a bully; emotionally unstable - perhaps and most likely since she herself has commented about how she must have her meds exactly on time. But bully is a very ugly term and shouldn't be used to describe her. As much as I personally dislike her and her constant crying, that's what she is - a cryer and unstable, not a bully.

I don’t watch the live feeds, I just read this blog/comments and watch the show. With that said, I have a question: Why does everyone LOVE JohnnyMac? Is he funny – Yes. Goofy personality that’s fun to watch – Yes. Was his response to Julie last night when he was casting his vote hysterical – Yes. But he isn’t a great player……I don’t even think he’s a good player. I like to watch the show and see these interesting and funny personalities like Jason and JMac but I don’t want them to win. In my opinion, they entertain us but don’t deserve to win. I felt the same way when Jason was voted out. He started playing the game WAY too late and was bounced. Isn’t that what BB is all about? Just ranting here and trying to figure out why so many people are upset that he may be the target this week.

Let's hope Austwins don't let Vanessa run the shots. If these clowns had a brain they would come up with a way to Backdoor Vanessa and put Steve on the block. I agree Jamie this will be an interesting week.

I believe the term 'emotional abuse' is just short for when smart & confident people are surrounded by insolent weaklings.

DeniseG said...

Nope

Unknown said...

I agree it's not emotional abuse. She is definitely smarter than everyone and a master of manipulation and deception. Not surprised at all because great poker players have to have those attributes. However,I find watching her on the feeds tough because she is so emotional and can come across as bullying. That's why she wanted Jackie out because she was the only one who would call her on that behavior and not weak.

I cringe every time they say "I want no blood on my hands". That saying is extremely overused and I find it annoying every time I hear it.

Completely agree. I swear Johnny Mac is Jeckly and Hyde in the house. The dude doesn't talk in the house and just says "uh huh uh huh" and most conversations except for with Steve and Becky. He actually does seem to be smart and knows what's going on but socially cannot use that information to make good relationships except with Becky and Steve. Love his DR's though!!! Wish she was more like that during the day with Hg's.

I fully agree! I would love to watch them get out Vanessa!

Nope. BB is about feeling sorry for weak players and then rooting for them to win even though they are terrible at this game.
How many times have the Goblins EVER talked game to Steve or tried to pull him in? Yet everyone here is SHOCKED that he put up Meg & Jackie..... WHAT??
The only important comp they won was when James lied about making a deal with Shelli. Imagine if Vanessa did that?!?! People would be climbing the walls at the CBS set to get at her!

Sometimes when bullies are confronted they cry...a lot...worked at an elementary school and saw plenty of this behavior. Not saying Vanessa is a bully but she has manipulative/unaccountable/self - pitying tendencies :)
